We created the official hockey.nl app especially for all hockey players in the Netherlands and their spectators.

The app provides quick and easy access to the latest news, your own games and the digital scoresheet anytime, anywhere. The scores and results of your favourite teams can be found very quickly in the scoring engine of the KNHB (Dutch National Hockey Association). The app also makes it easy to find your way to other clubs or check out the kit worn by the opposing team.

Smart functions

  • Configure your own team and your favourite teams.
  • Direct access to the digital scoresheet for referees, captains and team supporters.
  • KNHB scoring engine for field, indoor and corporate hockey.
  • Push notifications to let you know how your favourite teams performed or when the game is starting.
  • A live scoreboard that allows you to follow various top competitions and team Oranje.
  • Latest news and videos.
  • Information about hockey clubs, such as the kit, route and address details.
  • Whistle toolkit to support referees on the field.
  • All the current rules for field and indoor hockey.

This app is an initiative by the KNHB and is offered free of charge.

Appmanschap never disappoints. Whether it is the apps they deliver, the concepts they present, the creativity they contribute or their project communication, in recent years the KNHB has often experienced that the customer truly is king for the Appmanschap team!

Results and further development

The Hockey app, as it is popularly known, now forms an important part of the hockey community. With 155 million screen views, the app is used by hundreds of thousands of hockey players every week with a peak at weekends and surrounding the Oranje games. The app is regularly expanded and optimised on the basis of data, user feedback and insights from the KNHB.
